These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SchoolStack website, mobile application, and related services ("Platform", "Services"), operated by SchoolStack ("we", "our", "us").

By accessing or using SchoolStack, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. About SchoolStack Services

SchoolStack provides a school management platform designed to help educational institutions manage:

  • School administration
  • Fee management
  • Student and parent communication
  • Academic and operational workflows
  • Optional integrations related to books, uniforms, or school services

Certain features may be provided free of cost, while others may be introduced as optional or paid services in the future.

2. Eligibility & Use

  • The Platform is intended for use by schools, school staff, and authorized representatives
  • Parents and guardians may access features provided by their school
  • You confirm that all information provided is accurate and up to date
  • Schools are responsible for authorizing staff access

3. Account Responsibility

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials
  • All activity under your account is your responsibility
  • You must notify us immediately of unauthorized access or security breaches
  • SchoolStack is not liable for misuse due to negligence in safeguarding credentials

4. Free & Paid Services

  • Core features may be provided free of charge
  • Additional features, services, or integrations may be offered separately
  • Pricing, if applicable, will be communicated clearly before activation
  • Fees once paid are non-refundable, unless required by law or explicitly stated

SchoolStack reserves the right to modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

5. Permitted & Prohibited Use

You may use SchoolStack to:

  • Manage school operations lawfully
  • Communicate with parents and staff
  • Maintain academic and administrative records

You may not:

  • Use the Platform for unlawful or harmful purposes
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or copy the system
  • Upload false, abusive, or misleading content
  • Interfere with platform security or performance
  • Use SchoolStack for unrelated commercial resale

6. Data Ownership & Privacy

  • Schools retain ownership of all data uploaded
  • SchoolStack acts as a data processor
  • Data is used solely to provide services
  • We follow reasonable security practices to protect data

7. Student & Child Data

  • Student data is processed only under school authorization
  • Schools are responsible for parental consent where required
  • SchoolStack does not exploit or sell student data
  • Data usage is limited strictly to educational administration

8. Availability & Support

We strive for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

  • Scheduled maintenance or technical issues may cause temporary downtime
  • Support is provided via official communication channels
  • Response times may vary depending on service level

9. Intellectual Property

  • All software, branding, designs, and content belong to SchoolStack
  • You are granted a limited, non-exclusive right to use the Platform
  • No ownership rights are transferred to users

10. Suspension & Termination

SchoolStack may suspend or terminate access if:

  • These Terms are violated
  • The Platform is misused
  • Legal or security risks arise

Users may stop using the Platform at any time.

11. Disclaimers

  • Services are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis
  • We do not guarantee error-free operation
  • SchoolStack is not responsible for decisions made based on platform data

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • SchoolStack shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages
  • Liability, if any, is limited to fees paid (if applicable)

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold SchoolStack harmless from claims arising due to:

  • Misuse of the Platform
  • Violation of these Terms
  • Uploading unlawful or infringing content

14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of India
  • Courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
